Overview
The 5 Days Short ABC Trek is a compact and rewarding adventure from Pokhara to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)and back, designed for travelers who want to experience the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary within a limited timeframe. The journey begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Jhinu, followed by trekking through beautiful mountain landscapes, lush forests, traditional villages, and dramatic Himalayan valleys.
Following the route through Sinuwa and Deurali, the trek gradually ascends toward Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m), where spectacular views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and surrounding peaks create an unforgettable Himalayan experience. After enjoying the sunrise and mountain scenery at ABC, the trail descends through the same beautiful sanctuary toward Sinuwa and Jhinu before returning to Pokhara.
Although short in duration, this trek involves long walking days and significant altitude gain, making it more suitable for trekkers with good physical fitness and previous hiking experience.

Day-by-day-Itinerary
Your short Annapurna Base Camp adventure begins in Pokhara with a scenic drive toward Jhinu Danda. The road passes through beautiful countryside, terraced fields, small settlements, and mountain landscapes before reaching the trailhead. From Jhinu, you begin walking through lush forests and traditional villages, gradually ascending toward Sinuwa. The trail offers glimpses of the surrounding hills and river valleys while introducing you to the natural beauty of the Annapurna region. After several hours of trekking, you arrive at Sinuwa, where you spend the night at a local teahouse.

Trekking: Approximately 4–5 hours
After breakfast, the trail continues deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary. You walk through dense forests of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak, following a scenic mountain trail with several gradual ascents and descents. Along the way, you pass through settlements such as Bamboo and Dovan before continuing toward Himalaya. As the elevation increases, the landscape gradually changes from dense forest to more open alpine surroundings. From Himalaya, the trail continues toward Deurali, surrounded by impressive cliffs, waterfalls, and rugged mountain terrain. After reaching Deurali, you settle into a teahouse and prepare for the following day's journey to Annapurna Base Camp.

Trekking: Approximately 6–7 hours
Today is the most exciting and significant day of the trek as you make your way toward Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 m). After breakfast, you follow the trail through the increasingly rugged landscape of the Annapurna Sanctuary. The route passes through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), offering spectacular views of the iconic Machhapuchhre and surrounding Himalayan peaks.
From MBC, the trail gradually climbs toward Annapurna Base Camp. As you approach ABC, the enormous Himalayan amphitheater opens around you, revealing magnificent peaks including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, and other surrounding mountains. Upon reaching ABC, take time to enjoy the extraordinary mountain panorama and capture memorable photographs. The peaceful atmosphere and dramatic scenery make this one of the highlights of the entire journey.

Trekking: Approximately 6–7 hours
Wake early today to witness the spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna range. As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the surrounding peaks, you can enjoy one of the most memorable Himalayan moments of the trek. After breakfast, begin your descent from ABC.
The return journey follows the Annapurna Sanctuary trail through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, Himalaya, and Dovan. Descending gradually, you move back into greener landscapes as the altitude decreases. The trail eventually leads toward Bamboo and Sinuwa, where you can relax after the long day of trekking.
Overnight: Sinuwa
Trekking: Approximately 7–8 hours
After breakfast, you begin the final walking section of your Short ABC Trek. The trail descends through beautiful forested landscapes toward Jhinu Danda. Depending on your schedule and energy level, you may have an opportunity to relax at the natural Jhinu hot springs, a pleasant way to conclude your Himalayan trekking experience.
From Jhinu, you meet your vehicle and begin the scenic drive back to Pokhara. The journey passes through rural settlements, terraced hills, and winding mountain roads. Upon arrival in Pokhara, your 5-day Short Annapurna Base Camp Trek officially comes to an end, leaving you with memorable experiences of the Annapurna Sanctuary and its magnificent Himalayan landscapes.
